Joaquin Rivera’s story is one built on perseverance, hard work, and vision. Originally from El Salvador, Joaquin immigrated to the United States at a young age with very little, carrying with him a strong work ethic and determination to create a better future.

He began his career at Stewart Filmscreen, where he worked his way up through the organization over the years. Through dedication, relationship-building, and a deep understanding of the custom integration industry, Joaquin eventually rose to become Vice President of Sales. During his tenure, he became widely respected throughout the channel for his leadership, passion for people, and commitment to helping partners succeed.

When the local representative firm for Stewart Filmscreen exited the market, Joaquin recognized an opportunity to build something of his own — a company centered around relationships, service, and supporting integrators in a more meaningful way. In 2014, he co-founded ByDesign Vision & Sound Marketing.

What started as a vision quickly grew into one of the most recognized manufacturer representative firms in the custom integration industry, serving Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona, and Hawai‘i. Under Joaquin’s leadership, ByDesign has become known not only for representing premier technology brands, but for creating a culture rooted in partnership, authenticity, and community.

Joaquin’s journey from arriving in the United States with humble beginnings to becoming a respected business owner and industry leader continues to inspire those around him. His story is a testament to resilience, hard work, and believing in the power of relationships.
